Assassin's Creed Syndicate
Pencil, Watercolour, Digital
After a rough end to the year my partner spoiled me with a PS4 for my birthday, (I made the switch over from Xbox finally) and so come boxing day I bought myself Assassin's Creed Syndicate, which I had been looking forward to for a while after being so hyped up for Unity but being put off after hearing nothing positive about it. I had been a fan of the Creed series and been following it up until Black Flag which really hasn't captivated me at all. So maybe having a break from it for a while was a good thing because when I first started playing Syndicate I fell in love with the series all over again and particularly these two characters. I love the fact they're twins and they're personalities are a breath of fresh air for the series. Evie and Jacob Frye. Currently my favourite characters in the whole series so far (yes more so than Ezio)
I've only completed about 3% of the game and already found myself having to make Fanart for it. I just had the strong image in my head and just rolled with it. Originally I was just going to do some quick preliminary sketches and then do a polished up one the next day, but I got carried away on the first initial sketch that I just kept going with it and refining it more (which is why it probably doesn't look as polished as past drawings - however I'm liking this more rough style) - Then I thought about rendering it the next day but got started on it and the next thing I know it was completed rather quickly and late at night. I did stay up late into the early mornings working on this (as I do with most of my projects anyway) but still fighting off a pneumonia infection, so it probably wasn't the best idea. So you better like it - I think it was worth it, I'm pleased with how it turned out. I think it was also a nice breath of fresh air to get back into some art again amongst all the busy clienteles of work.
update: 10/01/2016 - I refined it more, made it stronger and changed the colours, thought the old one looked a bit too washed out and too soft
I'll add the line work drawing:
